Dear Friends, Fans of Brass Music,
In 2002 the Mistříňanka brass music band celebrated thirty-five years of its activity. It was in that year when Josef Pavluš, a member of the ensemble, came with the idea to buy the building with former school workshops from the Municipality in Svatobořice-Mistřín and to convert it into a rehearsal room. The band started the reconstruction with zest and after mature consideration it decided to use the rehearsal room as a recording studio.
We invited experts from the branch of sound technology and we built a studio complying with the parameters of present-day recording. The work and guidance of Mr Zdeněk Novák, who cooperated with us from the very beginning up to the first records, was very beneficial for us and the band gives its kind thanks to him. We installed sound system from Jiří Paška, who unfortunately did not live to see it working. However, his son Jan Paška continues his work as a sound engineer. Mr Zdeněk Novák made Mgr. Ladislav Pavluš (a graduate from Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts) and František Pavluš familiar with musical direction. The band recorded 25 sound carriers between 2003 and 2008 with this team.
Since 2009, it have been Mgr. Art. František Pavluš jr. (a graduate from Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava) and Vít Pospíšil, and recently also Zbyněk Pavluš, who have dealt with sound and musical direction. All of them graduated from P. J. Vejvanovský Conservatory in Kroměříž.
As the progress of technologies cannot be stopped, we have to keep up with the times as well. For this reason our recording studio is permanently modernised so that the quality of the records made there can be as high as possible and both interpreters and audience are satisfied with the result.
